Rodelinda's Son

In this children’s opera production, Playmobil figures take the leading roles. The Echo Klassik Award-winning ensemble, NeoBarock, in collaboration with Grimme Prize winner and YouTuber, Michael Sommer, presents a special performance of Handel’s Rodelinda. In short, humorous video sequences, the opera is retold – with Playmobil characters as the protagonists. NeoBarock performs Handel’s Music live on historical instruments, recapturing the sound that people heard more than 300 years ago.

The musical Playmobil performance Rodelinda’s Son offers a playful introduction to the world of Baroque opera. Through the eyes of young Flavio, music lovers aged six and up will experience an exciting story about courage, loyalty, and equality. Will Flavio succeed in saving his family?
