What it feels like to be a prince is something twelve-year-old Tom, living in poverty, can only dream of. Until one day he meets Prince Edward, heir to the English throne – who looks exactly like him – and his wish suddenly comes true. The two promptly exchange clothes and step into each other’s roles. But the deception soon threatens to unravel.

Based on Mark Twain’s classic The Prince and the Pauper, Wolfgang König’s children’s musical London Dreams tells a story of friendship, compassion, and the temptations of wealth and status. Supported by members of the FestspielOrchester Göttingen, the children’s and youth choirs of Herzberg/Osterode, led by District Cantor Jörg Ehrenfeuchter, bring a suspenseful, thoughtful, and youthful music theater work – enriched with Baroque melodies – to the Schlosskirche
St. Jacobi in Osterode, for an audience of all ages.
