In May it is Festival time, and the whole city is filled with Handel’s music. But even when the Festival is taking a break, you can discover the Handel Audio Walk on a stroll along the Göttingen Wall and immerse yourself in an exciting story with Handel’s music – all year round, whenever you like, by young voices and for young ears.

In keeping with this year’s Festival Opera Deidamia, the pupils of the Felix-Klein Gymnasium lead you on an imaginative journey to ancient Greece. There, on the island of Skyros, where Lycomedes is king, Achilles is in hiding. But why is he disguised as a girl? And what role does Princess Deidamia play? Find out! Just put on your headphones and follow the route of the audio walk – and you’ll be walking in the footsteps of the characters from Handel’s opera.
